Waiver Requests
Somerset Little League is allowing, on a VERY limited basis younger players to request a waiver to allow them to play at a higher level. They may only waive up one year and a tryout will be given by a panel made up of coaches from other portions of the league. No waivers will be given to the senior division.
It has been established by the Board of Directors that players should play with players of a comparable age. We believe this is the best practice to allow the talent pools to remain high at every level. As a result the waiver will only be given on a very limited basis.
We also recognize that some players also need extra time to develop. So we will allow 11 year-old players who may not be ready for the fast paced play of the 11-12 division to waive down.
