Junior League is the Little League division consisting of players age 13-14. During the year, emphasis is placed on mastering the game of baseball and strengthening a player's understanding of the more detailed nuances of the game. Players play many different positions, and a special focus is made for those players interested in pitching and catching.

Swansea and Somerset Little Leagues announce the combining of Senior League Baseball
Swansea Little League President Tim Plante and Somerset Little League President Matt DeCosta announce the combining of senior leagues for the upcoming 2010 season.
The new league will form two divisions consisting of a 13-14 year old division and a 15-16 year old division. Both presidents feel this will not only make their leagues stronger but also increase playing and pitching opportunities for all players involved.
Both presidents also stated that they hope that this move will address previous concerns regarding of lack of playing and pitching opportunities, and allow players the option of a competitive yet fun organization.
All details for the new league will be finalized on February 8th, 2010
